Privacy

Short version: your PDFs never leave your device. There are no accounts and no database.

Your PDF files

When you open a PDF, your browser reads it from your disk into memory. Rendering (pdf.js) and saving (pdf-lib) run in the page itself. We never receive the file, its contents or its name. Closing the tab discards it.

What is stored in your browser

• PDF notes you write in the Notes panel, keyed to the file's name and size, in local storage.
• Your signature image, only if you tick "Remember on this device".

Neither is sent anywhere. Both stay until you delete them:

The optional AI helper

Three buttons use an AI model: "Tidy into a summary" (sends the text of your notes), "Explain these fields" (sends the form's field names, types and choices, not your answers) and "Extract text" in Scan to text (sends an image of the one page you choose). They run only when you press them. Requests go to our server function and on to the model through Vercel AI Gateway; we don't store them. Please don't paste information into notes you wouldn't want processed by a third-party model before pressing the button.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page visits. It is cookieless and does not see your files, notes or form answers.
